Regional Rural White Paper for the East of England 2010

About This Project

In 2010, working with Collison & Associates, the Regional Rural White Paper for the East of England was developed and drafted for the East of England Rural Forum. It reflected the complexity of rural communities across the East of England and their economic, demographic, landscape and biodiversity diversity.

In the development of the paper, the Forum were struck by the great number of people who are passionate about creating jobs in rural areas so that more people can live and work in their rural communities and in doing so sustain local services.

It did not only focus on the needs of rural areas, it also explained how rural areas can play a larger role in the life of the East of England. Rural areas are dynamic, progressive and contain vibrant communities. The paper explained how, with the right support, rural areas can become models of dynamic, progressive and engaged communities.
