Rural Northamptonshire: A Plan

About This Project

In 2016 on behalf of a Rural Partnership, consisting of key rural Northamptonshire representatives from the private, public and voluntary sector we drafted an Action Plan for Rural Northamptonshire. 

The plan set out how to begin to address the issues and challenges facing the County’s rural communities. It identified the County’s diverse rural economy with a rich heritage and attractive landscape. It linked and identified issues facing the agriculture, food production and processing and tourism sectors who are all important contributors to the County’s rural economy supporting micro and small businesses. 

This is a Plan looking forward for rural areas. It may become more important than ever as we move forward in a post Brexit climate, and face the key issues of food security and climate change.
